About the book
Our generation has more ways to communicate than any generation in history, and yet we seem to understand one another less. We can reach thousands of people in a moment and still have nobody to call at midnight. We have platforms everywhere and very few people who have learned what to do with them.
This book is about recovering the lost art of wise communication, and I have chosen an unlikely teacher to guide us. Esther was a young orphan in a foreign empire. She had no army, no title at first and no platform of her own. Yet at the most dangerous moment in her people's history, she spoke to the most powerful man in the world, and a nation survived. She did not win because she was the loudest voice in the palace. She won because she understood people, timing, relationships, emotions and truth, and because she knew why she had been placed where she was.
Influence is relational before it is positional.
